Totally disingenuous, and if you saw his interview with Piers Morgan the other night you know it. When you make a 3 million on a movie of course you pay taxes. That's life. When you "create a foundation to give it all away", that does not mean you "gave it all away". That means you created a foundation to do what you want to do. I've had, for example, Muslim physician clients who "created foundations" that every penny they made went into. Who in the hell knows where that money goes when it is dumped in there? There is no public reporting to answer the question. The question is what happened to the much larger sums he has made on lying documentaries later on. He doesn't seem to address that question. When he received that money and heard the following -- "Back on that November day in 1989 when I sold my first film, a good friend of mine said this to me: "They have made a huge mistake giving someone like you a big check. This will make you a very dangerous man." He knew it was true. It was just good tax planning to sock that million away. Moore was doing his best to avoid taxes just like anyone else does.
