<<I am indeed fiscally conservative. I do support Universal Healthcare and hope to see a good plan in the very near future. Obamacare is a start. Washington needs to make it better and stop the bs from each party. I really am impartial about SS. I expect little out of it and do not focus my time on every issue. I am concerned about the economy and the poor job we do in voting unqualified politicians into office.

I am also fiscally conservative as well, which is why the Republicans blowing up the deficit the last 30 years and then blaming it on the dems drives me nuts.

Impartial about SS? Are you aware of how horrible old age was for the people before SS and medicare. They often lived in abject poverty and died crippled. And all they need to do is raise the cap and it is good for another 75 years. Good for 26 years without it. About half the people in the coutnry live on social security alone today and a great number of them are saved from being crippled in old age by medicare which pays for hip and knee replacements.

By unqualified politicans I assume you are referring to the nuts cases on the right.

This is what Obama i s doing to protect us and he is the Government. It is disconcerting when we have people playing with our lives for profit motives. The drug manufacturers are indeed eligible for a decent profit but surely not have a right to gouge us. There are tons and tons of issues and areas that we need to take care of in order to insulate our health care system from cost increases. Automation is the key and if that means loss of jobs due to elimination of office staff functions, so be it.

Obama to order FDA to help ease drug shortages

.....excerpt
Patient deaths have been blamed on the shortages, which tend to affect cancer drugs, anesthetics, drugs used in emergency medicine, and electrolytes needed for intravenous feeding. Hospitals have been forced to buy from secondary suppliers at huge markups. Surgeries and cancer treatments have been delayed.

The prescription drug order would be the latest in the president's campaign to move on initiatives that do not require congressional approval.
