Am familiar w/ the landmarks you mentioned. Once took wrong turn off highway from Santa Barbara to Berkeley and ended up on the Oakland docks under a lot of spaghetti highways while driving in a rental mustang convertible w/ top down, time was past 10:00pm. Spoke to police in squad car hanging about re where from, to, and how. They were nice enough to guide me out, after admonition, "young man, you get back into that car, put up the roof, and follow us out of here fast." They seemed worried about the locale and time of day ;0) There was a lot of diversity all about while I followed the squad car for about 10 minutes.
