Well, I sort of took artistic liberty-lol. They are sort of scientists. They use science to solve problems which are specific. So they know math physics and statistics and the scientific method I think?

But I have noticed over the years the highest number of "scientific right wingers are found among engineers". Applied scientists are mostly all dems and liberals. And one does need to study hard to be an engineer.
