You're right, it is a serious claim, and for that reason people try to find other phrases for fascism (Crony capitalism, American capitalism). How do you define fascism? My definition of fascism...........a marriage of gov't and industry with many individual freedoms restricted. Corp. influence and control of gov't has definitely increased and is a problem........which in part can be blamed on American apathy. However, we still have our individual freedoms.......they haven't taken them away........at least not yet. So far, the American democracy is for Americans to lose.........its up to us to prevent a corp. takeover.
