<<IMO this Obama bashing is not only wrong on the merits but it is extremely harmful to the well being of our country. >>

Well, I agree with everything you said to the last sentence. It is not Obama bashing. It is trying to understand him. He has not governed like he campaigned and the strategy he was using was not only wrong, but also had a larger chance of leading to hid defeat. I understand the need for a pragmatic policy decisions.

Obama won on a left of center populist wave in 08. Then he moved to the fantasy center on 10 and look what happened. After he refused to just lift the debt ceiling like Clinton adivsed and we lost oru rating for nothing, the congressional black caucus and liberals put the hammer to him and demaned he go back to his 08 political path.

He did and is now crushing the Republcians and especially in the major swing states like Ohio and florida. He did that making a left hand turn we demanded. The advice he was getting from Republcians like Sperling and Daley was wrong.

I know we can't screw around with guys like Paul or a third party. We are facing a formidable foe in the right wing plutocrats. We need a strong army to take them on, wall street, medical and MIC lobby e.g; and that means supporting the liberals.

We must strengthen the liberal dems in the democratic party like in the 30's and with Obama at the lead take the right wing on head first.

Hillary will be close to 70 in 2016, won't she? I think that aged baby boomers, of which I am in the first cohort, will not be received well. I like her as well. I actually had a conversation ( or something that might resemble one these days) with a person that didn't like her legs. I pointed out Margaret Thatcher was also no Betty Grable (someone he might relate to). LOL...but sad.

Political discourse these days is more like reality tv mud wrestling. Nauseating with no LOL. MP
