I just got my iPhone 4S. I love it. I still had an old Motorola flip before that. It does just about everything.

My father owned an Encyclopedia Britannica, which I loved. I used to just open a random volume to a random place and read whatever article was there. His father had owned one when he was a kid, and he read EVERY volume. He'd have loved the internet, Google and Wikipedia.

What we should be teaching kids now is how to search for what they need to know. How to do compound, complex searches that narrow the returned links and homes in on the specific information they are seeking.
