NBC confirms one Cain accuser received cash settlement

A settlement is not an admission of guilt. A settlement is an agreement to resolve the dispute. Every dispute has a dollar value equal to, at minimum, the cost of defending against it. Paying out a portion of the balance of defense costs to settle a dispute is commonplace. A settlement by itself means nothing.
