From what Cain is saying, it was the association that paid the women; Cain wasn't part of the settlement and claims to have no knowledge of it. I don't think it will hurt him much, if this is all there is. People understand that just because somebody made some money by claiming to be offended by somebody's words, it doesn't necessarily mean that the words were really that offensive. For all we know, this is over Cain calling some woman "darling" and complimenting her appearance.

I guess it is working, because it has already gone from he made someone "uncomfortable" to sexual scandal, WHERE THERE WAS NO SEX INVOLVED.
