If there were something really serious behind it, I think he'd have a better memory of it.

I recall once uttering a swear word in front of a secretary (not to her but close enough that she could hear) and immediately regretted it because I suspect it offended her) ... I'm sure I could have gotten some kind of complaint about that if she been of a mind to.

I doubt it. 15 or 20 years ago when you're running a significant organization? This kind of crap comes and goes. He would have turned it over to the attorneys who apparently agreed to pay the woman off to make her go away. The "settlement", if Cain's description is accurate, was a few months salary, which would clearly indicate there was no substance in the allegation.

This story should never have seen the light of day. It is clearly a smear attempt and at this point, seems to no basis in fact.
