If it turned out Cain was deposed I would have a different view. I can remember at least who the parties were in almost every deposition I've ever given, with just a couple of exceptions. Although I can't really remember specifics in any of them, I would at least remember why I was being deposed. This sounds as though it never reached that stage and was basically an insignificant event.
