Rand: Yeah I read that. Of course, it did say "at least," so I guess they could have done it more than twice.

I would guess it is a little different than flipping a coin. If you do an assay twice, and it comes out .3579 ounces per ton both times, you are probably a little more assured of repeatability than if you flip a coin twice.

Re: Where's Sam Ervin When You Need Him?

IPM's June press release said that "...the assay of the same samples was done at least two times to confirm consistency and repeatability of results."

Nice catch, Rand.

All in all, it's a... nother brick in the wall...

p.s. too many nice people are leaving this thread right now for me to speak my mind about the timing of some other announced departures. Chuca has me on notice about babies and bathwater, dontchaknow.

<<How can IPM imply that one can confirm consistency and repeatability with so few
trials? That's like saying that if one flips a coin a few times and get heads each time, the
coin is consistently heads.>>

Rand these are pertaining to the samples in the news release only. Many tests and samples were done prior to doing the samples under COC.

They are likely sampling and testing on a daily basis.
