"You guys don't like Acorn because it was empowering people that have a different political opinion than yours." By your own admission ACORN - as a publicly funded organization - was then breaking the law. Publicly funded organizations are not supposed to pick sides politically are they?

ACORN was in the business of helping people get ripped off by mortgage peddlars. As in helping people who shouldn't have gotten mortgages, get mortgages.

Why do you think that any attempt at reforming the ballot box is opposed as a block vote by demorats? What, because it's so hard for poor people to get IDs? That's unmitigated BS........ It's because it'd be harder for the progressives to steal elections. ACORN has proven itself to be like most left wing organizations.... They all have the same creed, 'the ends justify the means'. which was doing good work giving people an opportunity to have a voice in their government and also giving people advice on how to not get ripped off by the mortgage peddlers, was shut down because of this set up. You've got to be kidding me.... ACORN was a facilitator of this mortgage crisis. They were the ones protesting the banks for red lining, acting like an enforcement arm of the CRA and backed up by the FED forcing banks to lower their lending standards or face protests and fines....... There is only one culprit in this fiasco and that's politicians and our government. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll be on your way back to mental health........
