Thanks for a refreshing post:

<<So, how do we achieve real economic and social freedom in the land of liberty?...Is it possible to get off the path of destruction?>>

Some people already possess that freedom in a way, but many don't, including the country defined as a corporate vampire and government wasteland. Those people need to expect and demand more from its leaders. Too many people have given up.

For starters, why not eliminate corporate bailouts and individual welfare, except for people who are disabled and cannot work.

Eliminate social security. If people can't save for their own retirement, then that's their problem.

Government should set the stage for opportunity to succeed, not handouts. Some children with A averages in High School can't go to college because they cannot secure a loan. That should change. Guarantee a loan to every child with an 85 or B average in High School. Cut the military budget drastically. In many ways, it's a police state.
