Dave / Profits - Losses

Not a bad idea -- probably many of us wished we had taken partial profits about 1,000 points ago in relation to the producers index.

I will be taking profits on winners which are not measuring up to my expectations. I will hold the stronger performing stocks which will continue to report good growth statistics (regardless of share price activity).

Sometimes we fall in love with specific companies and continue to hold when we shouldn't.

As far as taxes are concerned. Offset gains - not losses. I'll take the write off - but don't want to be excessive with the gains. Companies I continue to personally hold are for the longer term anyways.
