I admit to not knowing much about this issue but it seems it worked for Iceland. Now that they don't have that debt hanging over their heads they can get money.

Greece has a lot of gold they can use of get restarted and there is a lot of money out there looking for a home, if Greeces debt is gone they may well be willing to loan to Greece at resonable rates.

Besides, the plan laid out for Greece by the EU will destroy them and keep them serfs for a long time?
