Brendan *OT* There are several hedge funds operating in Houston. I traded for one money manager there years ago and for one institutional investment firm. They always had summer programs. Also, the larger banks like NationsBank, etc. are getting into investment banking and have summer job programs. If you wamt to email me, I might be able to think of a few names. You have to be willing to do grunt work at first; i.e., back office stuff, filing research reports, etc. but it's a good education and you get access to their research. Good luck.
