Wow that is some yoyo. I remember similar gyrations for myself in 1997, 1998, 2001, 2002,2005 and 2008. Vowed never to let that happen again so I am out of the market most of the time now and just buy good companies making money that sell basic real products or services on the long side with the occasion biotech thrown in..No financial or insurance companies and no metals ever again.. Looking to get in big soon till maybe mid Jan then one more quick shot after we get through Feb than back to cash... I think I'd be up like 100 fold by now swing trading if I had sidestepped those huge downdrafts those six years..
