SS was the ultimate Ponzi Scheme brought to you by FDR. Only to take people out of the work force. Manufactured lower unemployment rate.

OK. I'm with you. The Federal Gov't borrowed the money from the SS Trust Fund and used all that money on a massively bloated gov't budget. So it is now gone.

So Koan, when they pay it all back, where do you think the money comes from? Thin air? It has to come from somewhere. I'll tell you from where. It has to come from borrowing or printing more money. Those are the only two options under the current laws. Borrowing more money puts an even more massive burden on future generations. I find that immoral. Printing money will eventually cause hyper inflation. At the minimum, it is a stealth tax on the current working generation, because it reduces purchasing power as the value of the dollar is eroded. Either option, to borrow or to print, is stealing from the current and future generations to pay for current retirees. Why do you believe that is a moral thing to do?

Now, if they change the laws to reduce benefits or increase taxes, then that reduces the future amounts that need to be borrowed or printed.

This isn't partisan gobbledygook. This is simple mathematics. You know I'm not partisan. You and I have been conversing for years now. My whole life has been spent in mathematics. This is a simple matter of addition and subtraction. The laws of mathematics cannot be denied.

I know it is upsetting, but that shouldn't make you deny the truth in front of you.
