It is all a question of judgement. Desire is good and does not necessarily cause suffering if one chooses the objects of one's desire wisely. Part of the beauty of desire is that it can never be fully consummated. But that does not make it a source of suffering. The Buddhist takes refuge in Nothing (no particular thing) because he lacks discipline and balance when it comes to his desires. Again, it is all a question of judgement.

Yes, from a religious freak point of view, I'm a fool. But I have no regrets and no sins. If I had to live my life all over again, I'd live it the exact same way.
