Well seems like AMAT beat estimates by 3 cents.. Still short of whisper numbers on the high end of 50 by 1 cent. But the stocks still down 30% of the highs and the rest of the semi's by some more than 40%. Theres also been a lot of accumulations and we should start seeing upgrades soon. But unlike all the others like CYMI KLIC etc whos been saying the asian crisis wont have an affect on them AMAT did one better they are going to appear on CNBC tomorrow morning in front of the world to say it. Record revenues, record backlogs and record earnings. They also made sure to push the new contracts they have signed just from asia, korea,taiwan etc... So lets see how far this facade or whatever manipulation you call it goes. The other day I was saying hmm someone's been accumulating a lot of QNTM it seems.. Today we know why.. Being option expiration I would expect AMAT to have some problems breaking 40 but theres a lot of bears and bulls on it. Should be a good day for the SEMI's as a whole who can lead the rest.. And as Mr.Dilio's said, times running out and the money needs to go somewhere... Stocks to watch.. Most of the techs, especially ones really beatten down, might not move much tomorrow but monday should be a new week .. Take your pick.. And what crisis? Oh that, it dosent affect anything.. really.. Speculate on companies, not real estate.. rofl... Nikkei UP 3, HSI up 3, S&P up 3.. Should be a good day to toast some bear-ass.. BTW Saddam says hes a lover and not a fighter..
