Klaus - this is the eternal dream (re: short squeeze) on APM. However, while there is no verification, it is believed by some that a huge short position is maintained by the people shorting against the box (when the price was in the 60s.) If it is true, when they choose to unwind their positions, they will probably unwind the long and short together, and thus no squeeze will occur.

This has been mentioned here on SI for more than 1/2 yr now

i can only relay information that is collected and published;

the information is reportedly updated on the 15th of every month; the report is dated 11-18, so therefore should be current.
if its not, please correct me, and provide the true short number.
