I can tell you specifically what drives me nuts about right wingers.

Can you tell me what drives conservatives nuts about liberals.

I don't think it is equal. I think that is a false equivalency (as they say).

<<Yup I agree. Conservatives in their simplistic fantasy word drive me crazy too. The thing is though, I feel the same about many of the liberals. If you can understand this feeling towards conservatives, you should be also able to understand the feelings that some have towards your ideology. The world is not black and white and liberals most definitely have all the answers or good ideas. It would be good if people understood that.

'Conservatives in their simplistic fantasy word drive me crazy too. The thing is though, I feel the same about many of the liberals.'

Yep totally agree. I think too many on both sides live in their own bubble.. While I totally despise the right wing I see many holes in liberal arguments as well when they deny personal responsibility, family values, nurturing an environment where you empower yourself ect..as the keys rather than than throwing money or affirmative action or the nanny state at the problem.. I still can't for the life of me figure out the welfare state, food stamps, press two for English, quotas on hiring based on anything more than your skills and work ethic will make a neighborhood or this country stronger in the long run. Nor have I yet figured out how the $4-5T added cost of the military industrial complex post 9/11 makes us stronger either....

The GOP position on the abortion issue also drives me crazy. They want to end welfare yet allow kids born to young teens, born to rape victims and many who can't or don't want to raise that child usually in impoverished single parent conditions with near zero chance of success... Better to have an abortion payed for by the gov't in the first tri-mester than a life of violence, drugs and incarcaration....Keep religion out of it and abide by the courts and our constitution..yet another piece of hypocrisy by the right wing..
