Killing the messanger is an age old practise. Obama must reorgainze Wall street. That was implicit in the "change We Can believe in". and then didn't. Obama's relationship is a perfect analogy to LBJ's War in vietnam. Obama must show the country two things" 1) He will not let the right wing take the New Deal apart. 2)) He will fight the plutoctats That is fell short is common knowledge today. We were just pointing it out a year ago as it was hard to beleive and startling. Ben Stiller last night echohed Matt Damon and a long list of hard core Obama supporters. "I wish he had done more". All you speak of is what any average Democratic president would embrace. But more than that, we must take Wall street apart and get the boot of the plutocrats off our neck or nothing will matter. And we must engage in rebuliding the middle class. This will require a much more progressive tax system and strong unions. Even for farm workers. And world food prices makes that an entirely resonable undertaking.
