Jeff, I am a bit confused. In an earlier post you posted that you talked with a LU employee and that he said "Rumors are flying we are buying somebody! 3Coms,Cisco,or Ascend." In your lates post you seem to leave out ASND all together and indicate that it will be 3COM. Am I misreading or misinterpreting your posts?? Thanks.

Larry That was plan B...invite him to the nudy bar after the show and get him really drunk. And then ask him no really ,Who's Lucent really going to buy? This person was in network marketing....I just walked up and asked...When are you going to buy Ascend. He said,without hesitation, We are buying somebody.(quite matter a factly)Rumors are all over,3coms or Cisco. I said I can't believe you would buy 3coms.Then we talked about when...He said an announcement would probably be made around the first of the year. Jeff
