"Because he didn't have to dive to reach the car, it's hood was sitting on the bottom of the pond and one of the tires was at the surface. So his story of repeated dives in which he was unable to find or reach the car don't make sense." He knew exactly where the car was, he got himself out it....he wasn't making repeated dives to find or reach the car....
