epicure, what is "tracking"? Regarding diversity, I think it is unfair to tell the fast learners that they cannot keep themselves challenged to learn more just because of others who are not as fast as them. After all, we need to release the full potential of these folks and not say that "they can only proceed at the same rate as those who are not as fast as them." And as if that is not enough, we have the issue of "social promotions" for some of these not-so-fast learners. Anyway, I agree that the list is very large.
