"Do-Nothing Republican Congress" Could Sink GOP in 2012
Posted: 11/7/11 10:15 AM ET

The Republicans in Congress have made a wager. They've bet the political ranch that they will destroy Barack Obama's chances for re-election if they can block his proposals to produce jobs.

In fact, it's the GOP that could lose big when the votes are counted a year from now.

Republicans completely control the House. In the Senate they can use the filibuster to prevent anything from passing.

Last week, for the third time this fall, Republicans successfully blocked Obama's jobs program in the Senate. Of course this came as absolutely no surprise, since Senate Republican Leader told the world earlier this year -- in no uncertain terms -- that his top legislative priority was to prevent the re-election of the president.

Independents and moderates agree: GOP deliberately sabotaging Obama’s jobs policies
By Greg Sargent

Ever since Obama began aggressively calling out the GOP for obstructing his jobs policies, insisting that Republicans are “putting party before country,” pundits have ominously warned that he risks alienating the middle of the country with such a stark, partisan and finger-pointing message.

But the new Post poll finds that independents and moderates essentially accept Obama’s diagnosis of what’s going on — majorities of both groups agree that Republicans are blocking Obama’s good faith efforts to fix the economy for political reasons.

I am shocked to hear Ron Paul says during the debate in Michigan that it is OK for our 401k to liquidate in the face of the the Euro crisis!!! I just cannot believe that. And you support that.

Volcker is one man who really knows what is wrong with our financial system and how to fix it. This below is a very long read, but if you have any desire at all to understand why things are NOT fixed, take the time to read it.

Volcker: Three years later, Unfinished Business In Financial Reform

MM, resolving the debt crisis is not rocket science. Its actually rather simple........stimulate the national economy and make the rich pay their fair share so revenues increase while monitoring your expenditures closely and cutting where there is fat. The problem isn't that we don't know the solution......the problem is you Rs who keep shilling for the rich and refuse to do the right thing.
