Yes, see my other post. Perhaps they are comparing the expectancy of the parents versus the expectancy of their newborn, which is of course comparing apples and oranges. For example, a 60 year old today can expect to live to 85, which is more than the 78 years life expectancy of a new born today. Of course when that newborn reaches 60 years without dying, his life expectancy will be a lot more than 85.
