Thanks for the full post, Steve. Based on that text, I certainly wouldn't want whatever services Caliper provides. The piece has several statements that run counter to expectations, which is fine. However, it's not fine if the supporting data, even a reference to the supporting data sets, is not offered. Just bluster, if I might b so blunt.

As for this comment:

"Despite the trillions of dollars spent on medical research, a child born today has a shorter life expectancy than his or her parent," said Kevin Hrusovsky, President and CEO of Caliper Life Sciences.

Hrusovsky clearly has no idea how to present data. Or, if he thinks this is good data analysis, how to analyze it. If he wanted to make that case, he needs to bring the data or, again, at a minimum, reference the data set on which it's based.
