<<So in many ways what the wingers call liberal progressive is actually a search for more simpler times..

We humans are trying to figure out how best to go forward. It is complicated and made even more complicated by the over population problem and clashing of both cultures and knowledge.

But the largest danger is the concentration of wealth in this country. That working people vote for Republcians completely blows my mind! They are the enemy of the working person and middle class.

And, many see the development of local city states where food is grown locally, and most people are middle class with few rich and few poor as an answer to the limits of growth and keeping our souls.

So the thesis is how do we move forward. It can't be unrestrained growth. But the kids will need to figure it out.

Increase in property values over the past 30-40 years is much more easily explained by the impact of two earner families. Since the late 1960's, two earner couples have become the norm instead of the exception. Lots of that extra income helped push up the cost of houses. Not surprising that this impact is more significant in liberal communities which are more likely to have more educated, higher earning couples, than middle America.
