Glen, asks are sellers. Lots of sellers are to be expected after the wild ride these things have been on (are on?)

Absolutely NOT!! ASK is what a seller is offering at: Price and size. If you have Bid size of 5 (meaning 500), and ASK size of 100 (meaning 10000) there is more stock for SALE at the offering that buying power at the BID.

That means that if this guy gets agressive, he can push down the price becuase he's got to find a level where someone will buy his stock.

Remember, if bid size is great than Ask size, it bullish (more stock to be bought than sellers selling). If the Ask size is greater, she's probably going down.

Steve and all

IBD this morning says "there were reports that Chevron might cut back on its capital spending, said Bill Allyn, head trade at Jeffries & Co."

Anyone know more...? Important, not important for today? I can't believe there's more downside here, today, but that may be the case.

IBD also points out the selling has been with heavy volume, not a good sign typically, as I understand these things.
