Gold, gold stocks were up for the same reason as the general markets. Hope of bailouts, hope of money printing, hope of a solution. Nullify CDS contracts and you cause Italy yields to spike. Hey I'm all for it. The sooner this sh*t goes down the better. I did fine trading during my vacation. It's when I come back and try to actively manage it again that it just seems like too much work. Golf in the morning, work a little in the afternoon and then some red wine and a good meal. For 6 days this was my routine in Scotland. 1 day of rest in the middle of course. Doing ok today, but been somewhat nailed to the computer again. No predictions other than cash and less risk seems worthwhile here.
