(1). Is a new recession here; and, Recessions are determined by The National Bureau of Economic Research. They determined that the last one started in December 2007. They will determine at a future date when the next recession started. nber.org (2) Is this a new low for the market? I have no idea. I agree with Peter Lynch. This is what he said: "Nobody can predict interest rates, the future direction of the economy, or the stock market, Dismiss all such forecasts and concentrate on what's actually happening to the companies in which you have invested."
