With all due respect to Todd Johnson, the author of your clip, who presumably knows a great deal more about the safety of AGNC than I do, the 3 economic conditions mentioned in my post still prevail. Personally, I'd like to have seen in his puff piece a brief, concise, cogent description of exactly how it is that their "highly competent management" manages to be "focused upon mitigating risk" while at the same time paying a dividend of over 20% on current market price.
