This normally occurs, within the first 30 minutes or so. When this does not occur within the first hour, it suggests that the direction of the move has some substance. Not by any means a fail-safe rule. Today's rally is more impressive than yesterday's was in terms of participation of other indices as well as market breadth. Add to that the secondary buy signal that I received and Nemer's dog barking causes me to believe that a scalping trade for today, in the OEX/SPX should be on the long side.
