John, EXACTLY. You should talk to tejek and smack some sense into his head. He's still convinced the big banks are solvent and that the mark-to-fantasy rules they use for accounting for the toxic assets on their books are viable. I've been telling this thread for awhile now that the banks are insolvent and loaded with toxic assets and that our government LEAD BY OBAMA has been bailing them out at tax payer expense. But the blinders are on. No one wants to recognize how bad things are and how they are literally screwing the 99% out of our wealth to make the bankers whole. Exactly where do you think the big million dollar bonuses for the top 1% come from? They come from zero percent interest rates used to buy Treasuries and pocket the spread and they come from ongoing bailouts. Those aren't bonuses EARNED from productive enterprise. They are bonuses STOLEN from the 99%. Wake up, thread, and support Occupy Wall Street and don't believe for a second Obama is innocent in all of this.
