"Yeah, for a guy as smart as he is he sure seems to be taking the wrong tack with Apple." Smart? I think cunning is the correct term. "Taking the wrong tack with Apple." That depends on whose paying his salary and which positions he holds. If he's holding a basket of Puts and shorts on AAPL, then his "tack" is right on as far as his self interest in concerned. Then theirs the ethical question about his advice to his listeners. That's another subject.
