I don't think the individuals in the system are the problem, I think the system is the problem. You get rid of Polosi and McConnel and you're just going to get clones in their place unless you fix the systemic problems.

You get rid of gerrymandering. Maybe have the league of women voters draw the districts.
You get the money out of politics. Publicly funded elections.
You institute term limits for all national offices.

Then you are attacking the core of the problem.

How do you get there from here? ???????

Good post. My thoughts exactly. I don't believe this is a Partisan issue. Both parties are corrupt and need to be replaced, in my opinion.
