I heard some talking head suggest that everything is OK because US banks are essentially not exposed to Italy.

What nonsense. They'd have to be insane to own anything Italian except for some nice Barolo or Amarone.

The US banks are exposed to France and Germany, who are exposed to Italy.

Anyone take a look at French banks lately?

Pssst, I have some shares in the Greek National Bank you might want to look at, they're cheap, a real value play.

LOL!

Long story short: anyone owning any European bank for the past 2 years or so should have a good head exam.
