I am sending this message from Comdex. Sandisk is showing its functional 60Meg CF in several gadgets such as Kodak DC210 , Uher dictation system and several Win CE machines. sandisk booth is located in the main Lobby of the Convention Hall. They are showing Compact Flash working in a dozen HPCs, several digital cameras, two voice recorders, various industrial/medical systems. The most impressive thing is the tiny MMC product. It is a lot smaller than Compact Flash. They are showing one or two live demos. I went to their party last night. It was in a huge room in a hotel. It was packed with people including a lot of OEM types ( Siemens, Nokia, TI, Siemens, Ericsson, Polaroid, Kodak , GM ...). The OEM folks seem to love sandisk. I also met Eli. He is a very impressive fellow and sure knows what he is talking about. SanDisk people seem to be very confident but not so arrogant. Although I was a little bit surprised that they shied away from bashing their competition (Intel, Iomega). I felt a lot more comfortable about investing in this company! BTW, IOM is showing Click. They have spent a lot of dollars but even the IOM people seem confused. I have several different answers from different IOM people. There is no actual disgned in product(although they are showing some "sawed off" cameras and phones!). They are only showing the external storage device as discussed by several people in this thread. Cheers, Derek
