I think what you are seeing here is that people are betting that some chip, hard disk drive, auto, etc. manufactures will close their plants and in the future demand will outstrip supply. I think it was TXN that put their DRAM plant up for sale. Will these plants in the far east have to close because of lack of capital. It could be the market is betting on this right now.

Just wondering why you feel the a chip rally indicates a reversal?
I hope this rally continues tomorrow so I can buy a couple oex puts cheaper! :)
