Volkswagen or Daimler. I like Volkswagen's broad brand diversity -- VW and Audi primarily in USA. Plus SEAT, Skoda in Europe. They seem to segment the auto market more -- which I like. Appealing to a broader audience. Which they will need, given they plan to unseat GM as sales volume leader.

Whereas Mercedes autos means primarily Benz.

Mercedes may be a better value than Volkswagen. I haven't looked closely at Mercedes recently. Not sure if I can depend on these Yahoo numbers: VLKAY has better sales growth, lower d/e, better ratio of low p/e and high roe,
Given this, for me I'll stick with VLKAY being a better buy right now than DDAIF. Jmo, and I've been wrong many, many times.
