Don't know, but in other cases, it is some of both. You have wholly owned subsidiaries that retain their own name, sometimes the original name is kept for marketing purposes, other times it is absorbed into the parent company.

I haven't followed USF long enough to notice what has happened to companies they have bought. Also, there may be a distinction between the company name and the product(s) they sell. Products tend to not change (if they are popular).
