you seem to think that their brand is somehow tarnished but I dont see it that way. I believe that they are privy to so much inside info that if anyone is going to be profitable trading it will be gs. on top of that they are such a blue chip, they seem to have a really good handle on risk management and I think its ridiculous that they are selling for a fraction of book value. they own chunks of all sorts of companies and you know they will be the lead manager of the facebook ipo which is bound to happen in 2012. if the stock sold for book that would be 33% upside from here.
