There are a lot of myths that have grown up around the development of this country. However, one of them is not that we are pessimistic quitters who see gloom and doom around every corner. On the contrary, Americans are known for their can do spirit and resiliency.........and those qualities are very real. Nonetheless, gloom and doom has become all pervasive. It is really starting to hurt us. Fortunately, this too shall pass. Populism can go amok ... Yup. A lot of things can go amok.......as we are finding out. Maybe Americans will be a little more careful for whom the vote going forward.
