Great people do the right thing, not the easy thing. The problem is not that Obama avoided doing the right thing because it was hard to do, but rather, he (just like tejek) doesn't believe in prosecuting criminals if they are bankers and he believes in bailouts rather than in letting market forces punish the risk takers.

Our government has ample precedent of trust busting. If an industry has ceased to function effectively because of consolidation, we have historically busted them up: railroads, phone companies. Why do we refuse to do the same for banks? They aren't special. If they are Too Big Too Fail, then they are Too Big Period. They must be busted up.
