On a day when the Dow is up 100 points, the NasDaq 2 percent and all major markets enjoying buoyant gains, for ANCR to be unchanged on low volume makes it clear that this news is not important to Wall Street at this time. <<The Amoco network uses a GigWorks 266 Fibre Switch to connect Sun and Silicon Graphics servers where terabytes of seismic data are stored. Amoco geophysicists pull data files from these servers to desktop workstations, where they run complex visualization, modeling and analysis applications. Patrick, One thing I didn't think of earlier today is the distance constraints of FC. At distances of greater than 10 km, quarter speed is all that's available. I have asked Ancor to clarify the distance, since this is critical for FC performance, but also is an ATM advantage. ATM is supposed to be able to maintain high speed over unlimited distances (as long as you are leasing the line). If they chose quarter speed FC at any distance between 10 and 40 km, it is an even more significant accomplishment.
