I do believe that GS will be a beneficiary of any easing or economic recovery. My guess is that they will successfully circumvent these attempts to rein in the trading by funding traders with equity and loans and benefitting from the outcomes. Seems like a logical approach . The wil continue to be a bank. heck thats where the free money is. Where else can you borrow money at close to zero and lend it out for a lot more than that? as far a potential earnings goes if there book is $130 and they earned 15% on that, their net would be $19.50. I think that is an admirable target to shoot at.
