I would love to see a lawsuit over imposing a penalty on employees with high cholesterol. It could force the company to prove that high cholesterol was unhealthy. And that lowering it via drugs improved their health.

Oh, they can always quit smoking and start vaping (e-cigarettes).
reason.com

As the slogan goes, tobacco kills, nicotine doesn't. And vaping doesn't make everything around you smell bad, nor does it get ashes everywhere.

I started smoking again a couple of years ago after stopping for 25 years. Recently read about vaping in the New York Times.

On my recent trip to Baton Rouge I gave up cigarettes entirely but when I got back the husband had switched to vaping. He bought me one. It's not bad. Biggest problem is that there is no external way to measure what you're taking in.

Vaping is cheaper than cigarettes, maybe lower tax? $7 for a pack of three refills, about 1 1/2 "packs" per refill, so less than $2 a "pack".

And if you fall asleep in bed, no problem, it only is "on" when you are using it, and never gets hot.
